Meet the youngest videographer in the Sacramento area

Talent is best cultivated at a young age. Unless you’re trying to vote or hit up the liquor store, there is no reason why you shouldn’t pursue a hobby or future career as soon as you can. Not only does that give you time to perfect your craft, but you’ll rack up connections and resume material at the same time. Take Cole from Redline Videography as an incredible example of this.

I met Cole at the last Yacht Club 916 show when he asked if he could create a video of my 300ZX. As someone who loves nothing more than being the center of attention, it was an offer I couldn’t refuse. When he showed his previous works AND passed me his own business card, I knew I was in special company. As a professional annoyance, I had to know more so I asked for an interview.

Q: Okay so first of all, how old are you?

A: I’m 13.

Q: And how did you get so good at videography at such a young age?

A: I’ve had the privilege of having lots of photographers and videographers around me growing up, and started doing videos of cars myself which really sparked my interest.

Q: When did you start liking cars?

A: I’ve always had an interest in cars, but didn’t know how involved I could get with the car community until I started doing videography. Now it’s my dream.

Q: What equipment do you use?

A: I use a DJI OM5 Gimbal and my iPhone 14 for now, but am in the process of saving up for better gear.

Q: How far do you want to take this? What’s your end goal?

A: I want to get more experience overall, make a little bit more money (because project cars aren’t cheap lol) and possibly grow my business.

Q: What’s your dream car?

A: Definitely has to be the 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500.

Q: What dream car do you want to make a video of?

A: It has to be the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport.

Q: Is there anything I haven’t asked you about yet that you want people to know?

A: I offer a great service for a great price, and I make sure to put 100% of my effort into the videos I produce. So far I’ve had nothing but good feedback from people. They like the music I put over the video, the angles I take, and the professionalism I put into the videos.
